Lauren Terhorst, PhD

Lauren Terhorst, PhD is a statistician and methodologist. She is a Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Co-Director of the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Data Center at the University of Pittsburgh.  

Terhorst received her BS and MEd in Education from California University of Pennsylvania, and her MA and PhD in Measurement and Statistics (Research Methodology) from the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. Her research focuses on analyses of longitudinal data as well as Classical and Modern Test Theory Methods. Terhorst is the primary statistician on several large grants from the National Institutes of Health.  

Terhorst will serve as a Co-Investigator to ensure methodological rigor and transparency for all data collection, analyses, and dissemination of results from projects conducted by the Pittsburgh Low Vision Research Collaborative.
