Mary Goldberg, PhD

Dr. Mary Goldberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Rehabilitation Science & Technology, the Program Director of the Masters of Rehabilitation Technology program, co-director of the International Society of Wheelchair Professionals, and Co-Director of the IMPACT Center which supports technology translation of assistive health technologies. Dr. Goldberg is also the Evaluation Core Director of Pitt’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute

Mary received her BS in Psychology and Spanish, MEd, and Ph.D. in Administrative and Policy Studies of Education with a concentration in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh. Mary is a recipient of the Top Innovator in Higher Education Award by the Chronicle of Higher Education and the RESNA Emerging Leader Award. 

Mary is a translational researcher focused on developing and improving capacity-building approaches in assistive health technology services and product development, including in less-resourced settings. Mary will support the innovation, testing, and commercialization of technology and training activities through Pittsburgh Low Vision Research Collaborative.
